“Esther” is a magnificent PSG/Inter I mare who arrived in Australia in July 2013.

W.Esther de Jeu (keur, sport(dr)) was the 3 year old Champion Dressage mare at the Central Keuring, Friesland and, after having a foal (Cisther de Jeu (elite) (x Voice)) she was trained up to advanced level with Olympic rider Ellen Bontje in Germany. At age 7 she returned to Holland and was educated up to Small Tour level by Jessica Buying who also began her competition career very successfully up to PSG/Inter 1 level.

Esther made her Australian competition debut on 8 September 2013 with Maree Tomkinson at the Victorian Dressage Club Championships.  She won both the PSG (with fantastic score of 73.158%) and the Inter I (scoring 67.763%) and behaved like the true professional she is on her first trip to Werribee.  After 2 years out, she made her winning return to the competition arena with Gitte Donvig at the Juravon Spring Championships on 24 October 2015 , scoring 70% at PSG, again the complete professional.  Esther then began her new career competing at FEI YR and CDI-Y’s with the very lucky and talented young rider Charlie Welsh.  Charlie and Esther were the FEI YR champions at the Victorian Youth Dressage Championships in 2015 and 2016, and in October 2017 became the overall CDI-Y champions at the Australian Dressage Championships.

Esther is full sister to Zafriq De Jeu (PSG/Int I), and a half sister to Moorlands Asther de Jeu (x Contango) (Grand Prix) (trained and competed by Edward Gal, now owned and ridden by Tosca Visser, breeders of Totilas), and Brother De Jeu (x Voice) (Grand Prix) (owned by Antonia Ramel and training in Patrick Kittel’s barn).  Esther is from the damline of Sisther de Jeu, Emmy de Jeu’s retired Grand Prix star, also ridden by Edward Gal.  She is out of one of Holland’s best mares, O.Esther.  O.Esther has had 19 foals to date (a number via embryo transfer) and many are successfully competing right through to GP level, while others have commanded very high auction prices at foal auctions in Europe.  In 2013/14, W.Esther de Jeu was no. 5 in the top 200 list of mares in Holland with offspring in keurings and tests, while her mother, O Esther, was no. 13 in the top 200 list of mares with 1-4 offspring in sport.

Esther had one foal as a young horse in the Netherlands:
Cisther De Jeu (elite) (dec) (x Voice)

And two colt foals in Australia in 2016 (by embryo transfer) both by keur preferent stallion OO Seven
