Ellanbrae Park is a picturesque equestrian property set on sixty one acres in Macedon, Victoria.
Formerly known as Statene Park, it was originally established by Olympian, Mary Hanna, and her late husband, Gert Donvig, as one of Australia’s earliest purpose designed dressage training and breeding properties.
After Mary’s move to Drysdale in the mid-noughties, the property became very run down. Since purchasing this beautiful property in December 2012, we have been rapidly restoring it to its former glory, with the aim to once again produce sensational horses and host the best riders and trainers in Australia, and those internationally.
Ellanbrae Park is owned by David Shavin, and operated by his partner, Carolyn Welsh, who is responsible for day to day management of the property and has many years experience working with horses.
We breed a small number of high quality foals each year, utilising both embryo transfer technology and international frozen semen stallions. We have some top quality mares and fillies, both imported and purchased in Australia with imported and frozen semen lines. Top quality youngstock are available for sale.
We offer an agistment and raising package, on a fixed cost, full care basis for Ellanbrae bred young stock. Full care stabled agistment for riders seeking the very best of care for their horses, our facilities are open for casual use (especially good for riders seeking refuge from the cold and rain over winter), and we are open to host clinics with local, interstate and international coaches.
We welcome all enquiries about our beautiful horses and property, and are committed to making it one of the leading dressage properties in Australia.
